​What is Medium-Term Accommodation(MTA)?

A safe, supportive home while you prepare for your next move.

Medium-Term Accommodation (MTA) is an NDIS-funded option that provides you with a comfortable place to live for up to 90 days when you’re waiting to move into your long-term housing solution.

It’s designed for people who have a confirmed long-term home or support arrangement but need somewhere safe and supportive in the meantime.

MTA can include:

  • Fully furnished accommodation

  • Daily living support (personal care, meals, cleaning)

  • Access to community and social activities

  • Support to maintain routines and independence

  • A safe, welcoming environment during your transition period

 Important to know:

  • MTA funding covers the accommodation and support—not your long-term rent or housing costs.

  • Stays can be shorter than 90 days, depending on your needs and readiness to move.
